One more session of Innovative Teaching Methods has finished.
11 participants from 3 countries and 3 organisations had the opportunity to spent 5 days together, learn about innovative teaching methods and network with Greek schools and organisations.
The course focuses on the subjects of Project method, Role play games, Theatre of the oppressed, Debate, Brainstorming, Mind mapping, Ethical dilemma, Field study and Community mapping.
We are always trying to promote networking opportunities for our trainees, so this time we organized 3 events:
- Visit to the 22nd Elementary School of Piraeus, where participants had the chance to talk with the teachers and explore the use of theatrical play in elementary schools.
- Visit to Lifelong Learning center DELTA, one of the oldest and the largest post-secondary training organisation in Greece, where participants visited the educational facilities and talked with representatives and teachers.
- Attend the final conference of the VIDEO A.R.T. project (Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnership) promoted by the 4th Highschool of Acharnes in Athens. Video A.R.T. is the acronym for the project Video techniques for developing Appreciation, Respect and Tolerance for diversity in students. In this project, participating schools got to learn how to make short videos, animations and use mobile phones in order to combat discrimination in the school environment. Our trainees got to see the videos produced by the students, learn about the project methodology and celebrate the award for the student video contest (well done to Sweden and Italy!).
It has been a great week and we hope to see you all again soon: Karolina, Agata K., Malgorzata, Agata N., Magdalena, Evi, Persefoni, Elena, Ibrahim, Berna and Remziye!
